My 3d version of Tidus from Final Fantasy X for a Unity 3d build. The environment is inspired by Indonesian and south Pacific architecture. I feel this fits well with the original game’s setting/environment. I also included an animated creature, in this case Lord Ochu, also from Final Fantasy. Texture wise, I went for a light handpainted look (excluding the skybox, I used one that came with Unity).
This short clip shows some of Tidus’ and Lord Ochu’s animation. It also shows the character moving around the Unity 3d environment.
The build can be played via the Unity Web Player (works on some web browsers):
