A dieselpunk themed Unity 3d build. The visual style for assets are styled after Art Deco illustrations/posters. For the diffuse texture map, I used gradations in tone and value to replicate the style of printed graphics from the 20’s. This was combined with the default Unity 3d bumped specular shader.

An interface concept that derives its visual style from gothic architecture, particularly stained glass windows. All the elements are 2d, initially created in Photoshop then animated in 3ds Max.
This demo reel highlights some of the work I’ve done in the past year. This includes models and animation made using 3ds Max, Mudbox, Photoshop and Unity 3d. Copies of this demo reel can also be downloaded: small version (37mb) large version (127mb)
I used 3ds Max to create this mostly 2d animation. Music credit goes to “Smerkcircus” a user and contributor at smerkcircus.newgrounds.com All the 2d elements in this short animation are drawings mapped to planes. Almost all the planes are perpendicular to the camera, with the exception of the floor which is horizontal with a slight […]
A short animation using a found model of Lara Croft dancing to MC Hammer’s U Can’t Touch This. The Lara Croft model was created by a modeler that goes by the username ‘3dgenerator’. I skinned the model to a biped rig and created the animation. Its a fairly low poly model (seems to be very […]
In this mini Unity 3d build, I created assets used to assemble a small walled medieval village environment. The controllable character is a re-topped version of a king Henry V model I created originally for an animation. The build can be played via the Unity Web Player (works on some web browsers): Unity Web Player […]
I had a chance to work with a motion capture solution by iPi Soft while at school. The setup utilized two Kinect cameras and the software outputted a BVH file, that I used as a basis for this short animation. The motion capture data required some cleanup and further animation refinements were added in a […]
I modeled a character and environment assets for a small Unity 3d build. The original character and concepts are from the anime Last Exile. The “mini game” environment is a multi level hangar in which the character can run around in. The 3d models of Claus Valca and the vanship can be viewed with most […]
I worked with a small group of 3d artists and programmers to create a side scrolling videogame. The Unity 3d game engine was used to put together the game. Some of the assets I created include one of the playable scarecrow characters, a few animated corn stalk enemies (in keeping with the farm/scarecrow theme) and […]
